Reviews:
* Comfortable but confident ride quality; many available high-tech features; fuel-efficient engines; classy-looking interior; maneuverable size. Source: Edmunds
* The 2015 GMC Canyon is small enough to fit in a garage and is easier to park and has better fuel economy than a full-size truck, yet can still tow a trailer or carry gear. But the Canyon is refined, with arguably the nicest interior in its segment. Source: KBB.com
* The all-new 2015 GMC Canyon will redefine the small truck category with segment-leading features that make it more capable and versatile than any other midsize pickup on the market. Canyon's 305hp 3.6L V6 engine is the most powerful in its segment. When equipped with the trailering package, it offers a Best-in-Class Max Trailering rating of 7,000 lbs. The 2.5L engine is the most powerful in the segment with 200hp. Both engines feature direct injection and variable valve timing. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the 2WD SL and extended cab base Canyon trim levels, and an automatic transmission is standard on all other models. Canyon's cabin is precisely crafted, exceptionally quiet and comfortable, and designed to the highest standards. The craftsmanship, attention to details and premium materials are what you expect from all GMC vehicles. Canyon features inlaid, triple-sealed doors, thick windshield and side glass, and liquid-applied sound deadener to help reduce wind noise inside the cab and keep the road noise out. The Canyon was designed to be efficient and maneuverable, yet make a powerful and lasting first impression. Manage your cargo and protect your truck bed with the largest cargo box in a midsized pickup, integrated CornerStep rear bumper for easy access to the box, and available EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate. OnStar offers available 4G LTE built-in Wi-Fi hotspot so you stay connected to the internet and your favorite apps anywhere you go. The standard Rear Vision Camera helps to provide clarity and peace of mind while maneuvering and parking. The available 8-inch-diagonal Color Touch Radio with next-generation IntelliLink lets you customize your media and connect with unprecedented ease. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • Solidly built mid size truck , comfortable ride

Very comfortable and quiet ride. Took this on a 9,500 mile round trip to Alaska and it proved reliable and comfortable. It has a very quiet cabin and gas mileage on the highway can average 26+ mpg (V6). Thats surprising for such a solid vehicle. I am very happy with the vehicle but wished I had bought the 6 foot bed, it is more practical than a 5 foot bed.
  • One of the best medium sized trucks.

Honest mileage in my diesel on a cross-country trip was 30 mph. I towed a 4,500 lb Airstream on a 7,000 mile trip last summer and averaged just under 15 mpg. I am using it as a work truck and average about 22 mpg around town - stop and go traffic. The truck is very safe and solid for towing - the air brake is excellent. Comfort and cabin noise is excellent - as good or better than most new passenger vehicles. I have used the 4wd on some dirt roads and it works very well. The truck does not have high clearance so I would not take it on really rough terrain without adding skid plates and lifting it.
  • Really like this truck!!

Pros: My first GMC in many years. Great style, with really good ride comfort. I'm 6' 3" and always drove full size and was not sure this Canyon was for me...boy was I fooled!! Plenty of room for my 200lb self!! I have the Duramax diesel and pull a boat, enclosed trailer, and flat bed trailer.....I also borrowed a car hauler and hauled my son's full size F150 about 45 miles....that diesel never strained one bit, and the truck drove like a champ.....now want to talk fuel mileage??? My trip meter A has not been reset since the 3,000 mile mark....showes "average" of 24.9 miles per gallon (combined) fuel millage for over 35,000 miles!! 4 WD, Exhaust Brake, 7,400 lb towing capacity, connectivity and a huge touch screen..... all great stuff!! I'm keeping this puppy!! Cons: No CD player!!!! GM's wisdom..?!?!?! Like I stated earlier, I'm 6'3"... Plenty of leg room...only problem is the cab center post is very wide and can obstruct the drivers vision if the. drivers seat is pushed way back.....my ONLY two complaints!!
